Dr. Carl continues experiments with variety and collecting experiences to offer the citizens of Black Rock City.<br />

We will tip our hat to our past with a scaled down (but no less interesting!) version of our big board of stuff for the citizens to find, do or be. Throwing it way back to the first incarnation of the camp we will provide a couch and a barely qualified listener to whom you can tell your thoughts. You might actually get good advice but promises can't be made. <br />
<br />
Over the course of the week we will host talks and workshops in our spacious shade tent. <br />
<br />
Herds of remote controlled buffalo have been spotted and we are cooking up a few other departments to delight the city. <br />
<br />
Oh and heckling...there's always heckling.<br />

===Physical Description:===<br />
The front of our camp has evolved to include a scaled down version of the Dept. of Collections and a large shade tent for hosting talks and workshops. A s,mall Pagoda sits between us and a neighboring camp waiting for anyone who might actually play Go. Our storage container becomes a display space for friends of the camp to hang art. The rest of camp (a dome, quonset hut, carport, an evap pond/shower) all support camp function. Sleeping, eating, etc.<br />

===Night Lighting===<br />
Camp frontage has LED strings and, if all goes well, newly created lit signage. All of camp is peppered with landscape lights for visibility and safety. <br />
<br />
===Campers and Interactivity===<br />
We are a small camp and all of our campers rotate through the various departments depending on time of day, attention span, and willingness to stand in the sun. If we have an influx of participants we would have 2-4 campers running the Dept of Collections, 1-2 running the Dept. of Head Shrinkin', 2-3 hosting a talk/workshop, 1 hosting a game of Go in the Pagoda. 2-3 running remote controlled art cars, and a few others entertaining guests. All of this, of course, rarely happens at the same time but our camp size tends to fit well with our interactivity offerings. <br />

===Clean Up===<br />
Dr. Carl's camp uses a cleverly designed chore chart to make sure everyone pulls their weight and keeps camp tidy and moop free. There are daily checks for moop and any loose trash is sealed in bags and thrown in the truck. In the event wind picks up or a high wind warning comes around the whole camp works to make sure our camp doesn't end up in someone else's.<br />
<br />
Final cleanup will entail the breaking down of camp and dividing our area into a grid on both Sunday after initial tear down and Monday just before we split. This grid will make it easy for all campers involved to scour for any moop. A couple of camp members are always pre-assigned a day for a scan of our camp and surrounding area to make sure nothing is out of place. Our burn barrel will sit upon cynder blocks to prevent playa scarring. All grey water will be evaporated from our 10'x 15' evaporation pools with our redesigned and much improved grey-b-gone. <br />
<br />
In an effort to leave the playa as we found it we will take the following steps to ensure minimal impact:<br />
*Clean up day will be Monday<br />
*All wooden tiles on the big board will be screwed to the board securely to prevent achievement of wind motivated flight<br />
*Many heavy duty garbage bags, and cans, to haul trash out in our truck<br />
*Altoid tins carried by all dirty smokers for cigarette butts<br />
*Rebar for staking everything down<br />
*Sledge, vice grips, crow bar and work gloves for removing rebar<br />
*All food will be stripped of packaging before arrival<br />
*Excess wood will be burned<br />
*All ashes from the burn barrel will be sealed in big rubbermaid containers for clean hauling<br />

All previous Dr. Carl attendees in good standing are automatically grandfathered in, even if attendance has not been consistent.<br />

20pts: Spouse, sibling, or steady (6+ months) partner to a Dr. Carlian that has already attended.<br />
<br />
5 pts: Close friend, parent, roommate, or former roommate of a Dr. Carl attendee.<br />
(+1 pts: for each Dr. Carl attendee claimed in this associative category)<br />
((Associated Dr Carlians must each consent to be used as a reference for the additional pts.))<br />
<br />
2pts: Possession of a highly useful skill set. (Engineers, carpenters, rare/quality drug source.)<br />
<br />
2pts: For each working (not planning) meeting attended. <br />
<br />
1pt: For having your ticket.<br />

Tally the points up on July 31st. Final attendee list locked on August 1st. Take the highest scoring noobs to fill out the remaining avails on the 25 person roster.<br />
